(Newsdesk Update Mar 05, 2013 09:21 am EST) They did it! Maciej Berbeka, Adam Bielecki, Artur Małek, Tomasz Kowalski bagged the first Winter Broad Peak.
“Summit captured between 17.30 to 18.00 local time. All four climbers of the summit team made the First Winter ascent of Broad Peak 8047m,” reported Artur Hajzer, Leader of the Polish Himalayan Winter 2010 – 2015.
More news will be possible when they speak to the team after arriving at Base Camp, which is scheduled for 6.03, says Artur.

Mountain team leader Krzysztof Wielicki is at Base Camp with Shaheen Baig and Amin Ullah. Karim Hayyat was waiting at 7400m for the summit team.
