The woman climber, leading Asian Trekking’s International Everest Expedition 2012, left for the summit from camp 3 ( 8300m) on Everest north side at 8:30 pm Nepalese time last night (May 18 local). Together with Japanese Noriyuki Muraguchi and climbing Sherpas Mingma Sherpa, Phura Nuru Sherpa and Phurba Sherpa the team successfully summited at 7 am this morning Nepalese time. Omedetou!

“Our Everest team rocks…” they emailed ExplorersWeb. “Mr. Shrihari Tapkir, Mr. Sagar Palkar , Mr. Balaji Mane and Mr. Anand Bonsode have reached the summit of Mt. Everest today morning at 07.00AM. As it was reported by the team many more teams were on the way to the summit.”

Joan Clofent, Ang Dorjee Sherpa (16th summit), Nawang Sherpa, Kami Sherpa,Niel Beard, Dawa Jangbu, Peter Cammell, Wilfred Moshi, Mike Roberts (expedition leader 6th summit), Ang Sona, Pemba Chhoti, Dean Staples (8th summit), Iza Smolokowska, Lhakpa Dorjee, Lhakpa Tenzing and Ang Gelu Sherpa.
