Gerfried  webpage Says,Alex, Louis and Gerfried have to contest today’s stage to the planned storage up to 100 meters. You are already for several hours at 6200m in her tent and things are good.

“I feel good, today we have even seen the sun,” said Gerfried. With any luck reaching the bivouac Habeler Messner-square is no obstacle.
So, do not forget your fingers crossed!
Also tomorrow, the climbers will use the Spot Messenger, again, we can virtually participate in their ascent.

Polish Broad peak expedition,We have begun to bustle around another summit attempt.

13.03.2011

Dodał marek karnecki Reports to his  home team website! We have begun to bustle around another summit attempt. As far, we haven’t received any weather forecasts, but we’ve got a lot of optimism.
Our weather forecast providers vanished – hopefully only temporarily. The previous attack probably exhausted them just like us. We know that during the last ascent we have spoilt Karl Gabl’s holidays to a large extent – we’re sorry for that and we hope for further help. We also count on Piotr, partner of Fronia, although Rafał is not in the base camp any more. We still feel tired, but we are aware that we are obliged to attempt the summit till the end, i.e. till the end of winter – March 20 – obviously. We are devising the tactics. The task isn’t easy. This time, there aren’t too many volunteers to be on the front line. During the assault, it will be necessary to bring tents and sleeping bags. We have to concentrate our efforts to be successful. At the moment it’s sunny, but windy.

Artur Hajzer and the participants

P.S.
Simultaneously, we are striking the base camp – all we can. We are also drying unnecessary base camp tents. We are packing excessive food and other equipment. We’re up to our eyes in work.

From J. Natkański:

The above fragment about weather forecasts is out of date – both Piotr and Karl Gabl have sent the weather forecasts, they aren’t favourable, but despite this fact tomorrow morning the guys /we don’t know who yet/ begin another summit attempt.

Rafał Fronia and Jarek Gawrysiak should already be in Askole. Yesterday they contacted us from Payu. They were given a hard time on the glacier.
Tomorrow they are going to Skardu by jeep.

Planned – unconfirmed return of Jarek and Rafał to Poland is March 17, in the evening.
